The ecosystem were studying in the Amigos School are the Charles River, the Arnold Arboretum, and the Deer Island ecosystems. My group (in our class) is studying the Charles River ecosystem. The Charles River is very, very close to arum school. The Charles River is the most beautiful place in Cambridge.

Location

You can get there on the“T” on the “Red Line” and get off at the stop named “Charles River/MGH”. The Charles River divides Boston and Cambridge.
BIOTIC THINGS
THE PRODUCERS:

The producers in this magnifisant river are;

  • TREES,

  • GRASS,
>
* PHYTOPLANKTON,
  • ALGAE,
  • MOSS,
*
>
AND LICHEN ( also a decomposer)

All of these things give food and shelter for all of these creatures. Speaking of creatures, hear are all the Consumers of the Charles River ecosystems.

CONSUMERS:
  • Insects,
  • Squirrels,
  • Snails,
  • and Humans (of corse)

Do you want to know about Insects? They eat off other insects. Insects are Canables, which meen that they eat there own speasese. Squerles are herbavores, wich meens that they eat plans and herbs. Snailes are also herbavores. Homans on the other hand eat both plants and meat , so they are omnivors.

Abiotic Things

In my ecosystem has a lot of abiotic things like:
  • Water,
  • soil,
  • and the oxigen,air,or a beeze

All these things are a really big part of the Charles river ecsystem.With out, them all of the world woulden't exisit right now. The water conects with the soil to make plants which are eaten by herbavors, which gats eaten by carnivors, which get eaten by the decomposers and then trhe chain repets it's self. This is called a food chain,which would help us understand more about life aand the chalenges that happens in the hunting stage of animals.IMG_0409.JPG024_21A.JPG
